A Model's Manuel: Canadian Jay Manuel Returns as Host and Executive Producer of CANADA'S NEXT TOP MODEL

Toronto, ON (November 18, 2008) - CTV announced today the return of Jay Manuel as host and executive producer for the third cycle of CANADA'S NEXT TOP MODEL, coming to CTV in 2009. Currently seen as creative director and judge on AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL®, Manuel is no stranger to the business of managing the esthetic. With an eye for creating stunning conceptual direction, Manuel has spent more than a decade in the world of high fashion and beauty, both in front of and behind the cameras. Manuel first took the reigns as host and executive producer in Cycle 2 of CANADA'S NEXT TOP MODEL, pushing the girls through the rigors of the fashion industry. A fan favourite of the TOP MODEL franchise, Manuel is back to helm the nation-wide search and find Canada's next "IT" girl.

A fashion and beauty expert who began his career as a makeup artist, Manuel's unique vision as creative director and producer has contributed to the success of 11 popular cycles of AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL. In addition, Manuel is host of the makeover series, STYLE HER FAMOUS and acts as a fashion correspondent providing red carpet coverage of The Emmy Awards®, The Golden Globe Awards®, The SAG Awards®, The Grammy Awards® and The Academy Awards®.

His artistry and expertise can been seen on the covers of the world's most celebrated fashion magazines, and on the runways of the industry's top designers. Manuel has worked with high profile photographers including Herb Ritts and Annie Leibovitz and has created "the look" for a long list of stars and models including Tyra Banks, Jennifer Lopez, Iman, Kim Cattrall and David Bowie.

In CANADA'S NEXT TOP MODEL, each one-hour episode provides dramatic twists and turns as hopefuls compete to master essential skills and live together, all under the watchful eye of TOP MODEL cameras. One cast member is eliminated each week and the last model standing wins the coveted title of CANADA'S NEXT TOP MODEL.
