Toronto, ON (November 6, 2008) - Only 10 are left. Who will win it all? Following Wednesday night's performance episode and over a million nationwide votes from Canada, 10 talented competitors are left in the search for Canada's first-ever Favourite Dancer on SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE CANADA. During tonight's live broadcast, host Leah Miller announced the bottom three couples; NATALLI Reznik, 28 and FRANCIS Lafrenière, 28 who performed a Salsa routine; ALLIE Bertram, 18, and DANNY Arbour, 26 who performed a Hip-Hop routine and LARA Smythe, 25, and MILES Faber, 21, who performed a Foxtrot routine. After they each danced for their lives, the judges deliberated and decided that LARA Smythe and FRANCIS Lafrenière would be sent home and therefore would not be part of the inaugural season's coveted Top 10.

The SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE CANADA first-ever Top 10 is comprised of dancers ranging in age from 18 to 28 and a variety of dance styles including Contemporary, Latin and Hip-Hop. The competitors represent communities from across the country; DANNY, NICO and VINCENT from Quebec, KAITLYN, LISA and NATALLI from Ontario, ALLIE and MILES from Alberta and ARASSAY and IZAAK from British Columbia. They have survived seven elimination rounds and outlasted almost 10,000 other competitors. During the finale in December, one of these 10 finalists will be voted Canada's first Favourite Dancer and will win $100,000 and the keys to a brand new 2009 Mercedes C230.

The competitors will begin rehearsing immediately for SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE CANADA's first Top 10 performance episode on Wednesday, November 12 at 8 p.m. ET (check local listings). The Season 1 SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE CANADA Top 10 are:

ALLIE Bertram, 18, a Ballet dancer from Calgary

ARASSAY Reyes, 21, a Contemporary/Latin dancer from South Surrey, BC

DANNY Arbour, 26, a Latin and Ballroom dancer from Montréal

IZAAK Smith, 19, a Hip-Hop and Contemporary dancer from Prince George, BC

KAITLYN Fitzgerald, 18, a Contemporary dancer from Loretto, ON

LISA Auguste, 27, a Contemporary/Hip-Hop dancer from Rexdale, ON

MILES Faber, 21, a Popper and Boogaloo dancer from Calgary

NATALLI Reznik, 28, a Hip-Hop/Latin dancer from Toronto

NICO Archambault, 23, a Contemporary/Hip-Hop dancer from Montréal

VINCENT Noiseux, 22, a Contemporary/Hip-Hop dancer from Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, QC

The competition will become even more intense as the Top 10 not only face new choreography, but new partners each and every week as well. Offering their advice and support next week behind the judge's desk for the Top 10 episodes will be Tré Armstrong and Jean Marc Genereux, along with guest judges Blake McGrath and Luther Brown.

Who stays and who goes is in the hands of Canadians, as viewer votes solely determine who continues in the competition and who goes home. After votes are tallied on Wednesday, November 12, two more dancers will be eliminated on Thursday, November 13 at 7:30 p.m. ET (check local listings). The judges will critique the dancers, but the guy and girl who receive the lowest number of Canada's votes will be eliminated from the competition.
