Following the success of last year's Valentino runway event at CTV headquarters during TIFF, FashionTelevision now puts the spotlight on the Canadian designing duo, as they unveil their Men's and Women's Fall/Winter 2008 Collection before an audience of A-list celebrities and VIP guests. Hosted by FT's Jeanne Beker, this outdoor fashion affair features an exclusive performance by Canadian R&B singer Kreesha Turner. Following the show, M·A·C Cosmetics celebrates with an exclusive 'Gold Fever After Party'. Dean and Dan mingle with celebrities, models and VIPs, who are transported into a solid gold disco reminiscent of Studio 54 and treated to a performance by Grammy Award®-winning disco diva Thelma Houston.

A unique street-level catwalk provides the general public with an opportunity to witness firsthand a fashion show from Canada's hottest international designers and be within arm's reach of their favourite fashionistas. Elements from the evening's festivities can be seen in Dean & Dan: Born In Canada, Made In Italy, premiering Saturday, September 13 at 7 p.m. ET on CTV. Encore presentations air on FashionTelevisionChannel (Sunday, September 14 at 7 p.m. ET) and Star! (Wednesday, September 17 at 9:30 p.m. ET).

"It's one of the most exclusive events in town, but the unique set-up also shares this fashion spectacle with street-level fans and viewers at home," said Susanne Boyce, President, Creative, Content and Channels, CTV Inc. "We're delighted to welcome Dean and Dan home to Canada and home to FashionTelevision as well."

"FashionTelevision is essential in this trifecta," said Dean and Dan Caten. "FT has been there from the beginning, supporting us and documenting our growth throughout the years and we are very excited to be back in our hometown."

M·A·C provides makeup support for the fashion extravaganza. M·A·C Sr. Artist Caitlin Callahan, who worked with the designers in Milan during Fall 2008 Collections, recreates the look with a team of M·A·C artists; while Go-Go dancers and models are fully clad in Gold Fever fashions designed exclusively by Canadian designers Joeffer Caoc and Izzy Camilleri.

FashionTelevison Presents DSQUARED² is sponsored by M·A·C Cosmetics and LG Electronics.

About DSQUARED²

A favourite of such celebrities including Justin Timberlake, Madonna, Nelly Furtado, Fergie, and Rihanna, Canadian twin brothers - Dean and Dan Caten - from Willowdale, Ontario, ventured to Italy in 1991 with the goal to pursue their love of fashion and create their very own prêt-à-porter collection. In 1994, they showed their first men's collection in Milan and then their first full women's show in February 2003. These marked the beginning of a long succession of runway and ad campaign extravaganzas which would incorporate various celebrities, supermodels and highly acclaimed fashion photographers. The Catens captured the attention of the international fashion community for their matchless combination of style, music and execution. For more information, visit www.dsquared2.com.
